The ECAC presents three $1,000 scholarships to local high school graduates who have demonstrated outstanding artistic ability and a desire to further their art education at an institute of higher learning.

The money for these scholarships comes from the ECAC Rotating Artists program, the Art in the Park Jar Raffle, Art in the Park booth fees, and Brown Bag ticket purchases by club members.

For information about how to apply for these scholarships, which are usually presented at high school graduation time in the spring of each year, contact the ECAC President.

Karen Volbrecht Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is presented to a graduate of Elko High School in honor of Karen Volbrecht, a deceased, beloved, local artist who was a strong supporter of the ECAC and its activities.

Jean Paul Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is presented to a graduate of Spring Creek High School in honor of Jean Paul, a deceased, beloved, local artist who helped found the ECAC.

Elko County Art Club Scholarship

This scholarship is presented to a graduate of an Elko County High School that is not in Elko or Spring Creek, Nevada.

Former ECAC President Jean Reeser, left, presents a scholarship certificate to a local aspiring artist at her high school graduation awards ceremony.
